I slept for 16 hours straight today.
Knocked out on Audrey's bed early last night because I was so unbelievably exhausted- and before I knew it, it was nearly one in the afternoon. Clearly, I had missed my morning classes.
Evidently, this is what education has done: it has RUINED me.Ok no, I am just being childish and bitter over the fact I have 3 essays and 2 assignments due very soon. There are so many deadlines, I've kind of lost count. Either way they're probably just cruelly close enough for me to go berserk. Argh.
On a lighter note:My first National Day overseas. Not that it really matters, but it feels strange in a foreign country. Walked into the dining hall this afternoon and found a tremendously huge and prominent 'in-your-face' Singapore flag proudly draped on the stairway that was evidently hung up by our very famously patriotic Darvinya.
Anyway, a bunch of us had a little National Day celebration of our own since we're not in Singapore, and headed down to Singapore Chomp Chomps (hee hee) at Burke Street. We ordered a shitload of food, and had our terribly missed Hainanese chicken rice, char kway teow, laksa and hor fun. Gak. Also, we all went patriotic and showed up for dinner in red and white, ha ha.
Chilled out later at Calvin and Jon's balcony, dancing to R&B and having fun with champagne and wine in our hands. I've got to say, it was a real stress reliever.
Junwei's got most of the photographs, but as usual, will not let any of us have it till he's edited them. So pictures have got to wait.
Anyway, three cheers for bangs!
